Draft Chapters 1 and 2.
Phase 2 begins. Two chapters per week. Each week's module gives you the specific framework for that week's chapters. Follow the internal chapter structure from Week 3.
Write forward. Do not edit. Editing is a different phase and a different mindset. Your only job is to get the ideas on the page in the right structure.
Chapter 1: The Hook
Open with one of these three structures.
- The Scene. Drop the reader into a specific moment. A client sitting across from you. A conference room where everything went wrong. A phone call that changed how you thought about the problem.
- The Provocative Statement. Lead with a claim that challenges conventional wisdom. "Everything you have been told about [topic] is designed to keep you stuck."
- The Question. Ask the question your reader has been asking themselves. Then tell them why the answers they have found so far have not worked.
After the opening, transition to the problem statement. Describe the reader's situation so precisely they feel exposed. Then pivot to hope: here is what this book will show you. End with a brief roadmap of what is coming.
Chapter 2: The Credibility Chapter
This is not a biography. It is an origin story with a structure.
- Where you started (relatable, not impressive).
- The failure, frustration, or discovery that led you to develop your methodology.
- The turning point when your approach started producing results.
- The results it has produced for you and your clients (specific, quantified where possible).
- Why you wrote this book (what compelled you to share this beyond your client work).
